We recommend you optimize your MagicINFO account once or twice a year to prevent any malfunctions. By implementing this practice in your work, you ensure that the digital signage systems will function smoothly. Previously, we mentioned in another article that the top optimization tip is to clean up your MagicINFO account. Today, we will tell you how to check the MagicINFO server settings and why it is important to do.
How to check the MagicINFO server settings
This is a broad topic, but we will do our best to be as brief and concise as possible. Before you check the server settings on MagicINFO, we encourage you to look into the security and timer settings. Next, you can head to Server management, and from there you can view and edit general settings for the server.
However, it is important to note that there is another setting that is overlooked often - configuring the SMTP server settings. It might be crucial for your situation because, if you like to receive email notifications, you need to enable the SMTP settings. SMTP stands for Simple Mail Transfer Protocol and by enabling this you can improve your MagicINFO account to great lengths.
MagicINFO can send out notifications such as publication errors, disconnected displays, login alerts, but also password resets. You can find out more about SMTP settings and how to set notifications in our helpdesk or by clicking here.
