Have you already heard that you can manage your Flip's settings remotely as well? Flip 2 comes with even more features! In this blog we dive into the remote management options MagicINFO has to offer in combination with a Flip device.

Versatile device capabilities for centralized Device management

One of the main benefits you get from choosing Samsung and MagicINFO is the in-depth hardware control. A range of hardware devices can be accommodated with MagicINFO; from stand-alone to videowall, from outdoor displays to LED. You can not only manage your content from one central point but also use remote management. All in one single overview, how convenient! But, have you already heard that you can manage your Flip's settings remotely as well? The Flip 2 offers even more functions. In this blog we dive into the remote management options MagicINFO has to offer in combination with a Flip device.

Interactive display ideal for meetings

Samsung Flip is an interactive display that simplifies teamwork without any hassle. With Flip 2, you can create freely thanks to a smooth pen-to-paper-like writing experience. Ideal for meeting rooms at your office but a lot of hotels and meeting venues are convinced that they can improve their services by having the Flip available for their business quests. Curious? Have a look at this nice video about the Flip.

Remote Management & Flip

In 2018 the first Flip entered Samsung's line up and last year Flip 2 came out. With Flip 1 and MagicINFO 7, it already was possible to add the Flip to the MagicINFO server. The Flip 1 had some basic remote management options such as:

  • Switch the power on or off,
  • Edit: delete, auto-save
  • Auto power off
  • Proxy server

But with the Flip 2 added some more functions can be added to this list:

  • Retrieve Device Info
  • Update the firmware
  • Configure proxy settings
  • Set the pin code
  • Security: network lock, USB lock
  • Manage the interval of capture

When you would like to be able to manage your hardware settings remotely, a Remote Management License is required. This can be very useful and saves you time in getting across the venue to work on each Flip physically.
